Dentists Newcastle welcomes Dr Mark Casiglia in Lane Cove, for all their latest dental treatments and techniques, given gently by their caring team of dentists.

Dr Mark Casiglia received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from Sydney University in 1990. After a year and a half employed in private practice Mark found a small practice for sale in Longueville Rd, Lane Cove. Thus in 1992 the seed was planted that eventually became Apple Dental. After five years in Longueville Road, space demands saw the practice relocate. Mark joined another established local dentist to form Lane Cove Dental Centre. Mark chose to maintain a separate practice within the centre to ensure that patients continued to receive the best possible individual care. In 2007, after ten years at Lane Cove Dental Centre, and with further space demands due to a ten-fold increase to the practice since its beginnings in Longueville Road, Apple Dental was born- a custom designed and built facility for progressive dentistry in the heart of Lane Cove. Mark has always made a point of staying up to date in dentistry. In 2000 he was among the first group of Australian dentists to offer one-hour teeth whitening, and in 2002 was among the very first handful of Australian dentists to practice Laser Dentistry, which allowed many new and improved treatments to be carried out for patients on the practice. During the same period Mark’s reputation in cosmetic dentistry continued to grow with several magazine appearances leading to two national Sunday newspaper interviews and stories, two ABC current affairs television interviews, a Vogue Magazine article and several interviews in Australian Dental Practice Magazine. An important piece of the puzzle was placed in 2005 when Mark added Implant Dentistry to his skill set. With this treatment option for the permanent and life-like replacement of missing teeth, Mark was now able to offer full-mouth rehabilitation combining the disciplines of gum treatment, complex restorative,cosmetic and Implant Dentistry to provide solutions to almost any situation presented to him. In 2008, Mark acquired the new CEREC 3D CAD/CAM system for chairside, computerised manufacturing of dental crowns, inlays and onlays from porcelain so that these procedures are able to be done in one visit without the need for temporary fillings and impressions. Mark and his family are residents of Riverview in the Lane Cove municipality and are proud to be active members of the community which Apple Dental serves.
